Oh Yeah? Well Why Don’t You Go THANK Yourself!

So, it’s coming up on Thanksgiving. I thought it might be fun to sit down and reflect on the things that I’m thankful for and share them with complete and total strangers such as you. Yes, I’m fully aware that the “things I’m thankful for” blog, email, speech, etc. is done by pretty much anyone who can type, but this is MY blog so piss off! (I’ve just been told by my girl Shannon here that she, in fact, has written a similar blog over at Wired and Hired)

I’m thankful that I only have to be thankful for things once a year (Dad gave me that one)

I’m thankful that all of my clients, whom I have searches with presently, will make offers to all of my candidates before the end of the year (AHEM…that’d be you!)

I’m thankful that all of my candidates will accept the aforementioned offers expediently and start before the end of the year…thus filling my pockets with much needed moolah!

I’m thankful that I’m not Tommy Bowden (Clemson Tiger’s head football coach) right now! I mean, seriously, how do you lose to Boston College at home in the last 6 minutes when you’ve been up 17-3 for virtually the entire game?

I’m thankful that I get to see my Bro, Sis-n-law, nephews (Dakota, Rider, Scout and Indiana) and niece (Ireland) in a couple of days. BTW, make fun of my nephews and I’ll come at you like a tornado filled with teeth and fingernails.

I’m thankful for all of my clients that understand how I work and why my way works the best for their needs.

I’m also thankful for the chance to teach other clients why the sentence above is true. This would be the reason for all these blogs knuckleheads.

I’m thankful that I learned what the term MooseKnuckle means.

I’m thankful that I’m so damn good-looking and that my talents are plentiful. I’m also thankful when women (really… just one would be nice) notice this.

I’m thankful that I get to help my candidates and clients in a way that helps them in the long term with their career goals. I’m also thankful that I get paid for said action.

I’m thankful for dill pickles.

I’m thankful for Global Warming and how it has allowed us to have spring-like weather up until the end of November…Bravo God!

I’m thankful that everyone who reads my blogs feels warm and cared for inside.

I’m thankful for music and all the times that it’s allow me to talk to and go out with women who most consider to be far, far outside of my league.

I’m thankful for tight fitting T-shirts, especially ones with no sleeves.

I’m thankful to be a recruiter who works for the most amazing company that nurtures me and my talents in a way that makes me the best success I can possibly be.

I’m glad that Talent Zoo has paid me cash to type the previous sentence.

Most of all, I’m thankful that you give me the opportunity to get a paycheck every week. Regardless of some of the things that I come down on you about, I still have a great relationship with most of you. The other ones of you are completely off my Christmas list…you’re all getting COAL!

10 minutes of my life that I’ll never get back…

In closing, everyone please have a happy, safe, secure, blah blah blah Thanksgiving. When the time comes (and you’ll know when) to have a martini, make sure and have one for me as I’ll be with my family in a completely and totally DRY house. You see, no one in my family enjoys an alcoholic beverage…EVER! Dad never drank in his life. Mom…I think she said she accidentally had an eggnog that was spiked at a wedding once. My brother also never had a drink in his life. My Sis-n-law…not sure…she may have had a wild streak in her. None the less, I will be completely alcohol free for the holidays. The next blog you read from me might be a confession for “accidentally” killing a mime! But, let’s face it, what good are mimes? I rest my case.

Happy Turkey Day Bitches!

Well… This is certainly one of the more inventive Thanksgiving post titles I’ve seen these past few days. You have officially made my day. Here’s a late gratitude piece. I’m thankful for all the bloggers who find ways to express themselves with a little bit more of humor than anybody else.
