I Need More Than Just a Four Letter Word

So we’ve all been here before…where today’s the ump-teenth time that you’ve heard “I’ll have [tag]feedback[/tag] back for you soon”. Yet another day passes, so you pick up the phone and leave another lovely voice mail asking for feedback and you shoot over a quick email practically begging for anything. A few hours pass and you receive your feedback, but it isn’t exactly what you’ve been waiting for. You get a short and sweet email saying “We’ve decided to pass on Joe.” That’s it! How about a round of applause or a standing ovation? No, how about giving us a little more to work with…maybe some specific feedback? When you share the real reason for [tag]passing[/tag] on a [tag]candidate[/tag], it truly helps all parties involved. Candidates can move on with some [tag]constructive criticism[/tag] that could be very beneficial to them down the road, and I can tweak my search and not miss the boat the next time around. A little more than the four letter word “pass” – would be greatly appreciated!
